The Suzuki Burgman Street underwent BikeWale’s city mileage test, which uses a 10 km loop. This route includes crowded streets, multiple traffic lights, and some open stretches. The test aims to simulate typical urban riding, avoiding efforts to maximize mileage unnaturally. Riders used light throttle inputs and the scooter’s mid-range power to navigate traffic.

During the test, the scooter covered 63.6 km before refueling. It consumed 1.09 litres of fuel. This resulted in a city mileage of 58.34 kmpl. With this figure, the Burgman Street can travel over 300 km on a full tank in city conditions.

Mixed Riding Fuel Efficiency

The Burgman Street was also tested in mixed conditions, combining city traffic, office commutes, and highway stretches. The test included some top-speed runs with the throttle fully open. Over a distance of 176.4 km, the scooter used 3.47 litres of fuel. This produced a fuel economy of 50.28 km/L in mixed riding conditions. The result is notable, given the inclusion of high-speed and short city trips.

Testing Methodology

BikeWale’s city fuel economy test follows a fixed route during mid-morning hours, typically around 10 to 11am. Traffic is moderate, and all traffic signals are operational at this time. The process begins by filling the scooter’s tank to the brim at a designated fuel station. Tyre pressures are set according to manufacturer recommendations. After completing the test loop, the scooter is refueled to the brim at the same pump and nozzle. This approach ensures consistent and accurate fuel consumption measurements.

The new Suzuki Burgman Street demonstrates strong fuel efficiency in both city and mixed conditions. Its performance suggests it is economical for daily use, offering a practical range for urban riders.
