Design and Build

- The Suzuki Gixxer stands out as an affordable 155cc street bike in India, blending sporty styling with everyday usability for urban riders.
- Solid diamond frame with durable plastic panels that resist rattles, ensuring long-term reliability.
- Aggressive streetfighter design with good fit and finish, plus 160mm ground clearance for rough Indian paths.
- Tactile switchgear and sturdy components hold up well, backed by a 2-year or 30,000 km warranty.
Engine and Performance

- Powered by a smooth 155cc air-cooled engine producing 13.4 bhp and 13.8 Nm torque for quick city acceleration.
- Handles well with stable cornering, grippy tyres, and strong disc brakes, reaching up to 115-120 kmph top speed.
- 5-speed gearbox shifts cleanly, but lacks a sixth gear, limiting relaxed highway cruising.
Technology

- Features a fully digital LCD display showing speed, fuel, gear position, and service alerts for easy monitoring.
- Includes Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, and ETA updates via a linked app.
- Safety tech like single-channel ABS, side-stand engine cut-off, and LED lighting enhances rider confidence on Indian roads.
Comfort

- Offers an upright riding position with easy reach to handlebars and low footpegs, ideal for city traffic and short trips.
- Lightweight at 141 kg with a 795mm seat height, making it beginner-friendly and easy to maneuver in tight spaces.
- Pillion seat lacks cushioning and space, causing discomfort on long rides; stiff suspension jars over potholes.
Price, Fuel Efficiency and Rivals

- Delivers around 42-45 kmpl in real-world conditions, stretching the 12-litre tank to over 500 km range. Users report 40-50 kmpl depending on riding style.
- Fuel injection aids consistent mileage in mixed city and highway use, keeping running costs low for daily commuters.
- Priced between Rs 1.26 lakh and Rs 1.29 lakh ex-showroom, it targets beginners and commuters seeking a mix of fun and reliability.
- Key rivals include Yamaha FZ-S, TVS Apache RTR 160, and Honda Hornet, with its sharp lines and LED lights giving it a modern edge.
After Sales Services

- Service network is widespread but gets mixed feedback, with some praising quick fixes and others noting delays.
- Maintenance costs stay affordable at ₹1,000-2,000 per service, with oil changes every 4,000-6,000 km.
- Issues like spare parts shortages and inconsistent technician skills can frustrate owners in remote areas.
Conclusion

- Drawing from CarBike360 insights, the Suzuki Gixxer shines as a balanced sports bike with fresh looks, stable handling, and solid efficiency for city streets.
- It suits solo commuters well but falls short on pillion comfort and after-sales reliability, making it a smart pick for budget-conscious riders.

Good bike
Look wise Suzuki Gixxer still looks fresh. Build quality is great. There's not even a single rattling sound coming from the body panels yet. Seating posture is good for the rider but seat size and cushioning is not that great for the pillion so don't even think about highway rides with the pillion. Mileage is good for the 150 cc bike as I am getting around 40-45 kmpl. There's some vibrations can be felt after certain speed. After sales sevice is pathetic. I didn't receive a single call for bike servicing and spare parts availability is a pain though.
