Bajaj Auto is one of the biggest two-wheeler brands in India. The Pune-based motorcycle manufacturer runs its Bajaj Auto factories in Chakan, Maharashtra and in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. The oldest Bajaj facility and corporate office cum R&D centre is in Akurdi, Pune.
Bajaj bike price in India starts at Rs 43,928 to Rs 1,98,568. Bajaj sells (16) two-wheelers in India, and the Pulsar models are the most popular Bajaj motorcycles such as Bajaj Pulsar 125, Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Bajaj Pulsar NS200 bikes. The Bajaj Dominar 400 touring motorcycle price is the highest.
The popular Bajaj Chetak scooter helped the brand become a household name in the 80s, 90s until early 2000s, but later moved from scooter making to only motorcycle production.
However, Bajaj has recently revived the Chetak brand in the form of Chetak electric scooter.
Bajaj Auto owns 14.5% stake in Austrian bike maker KTM. In this deal, KTM helps in the collaborative development of new motorcycles and engines, while Bajaj controls production and distribution of KTM products in India and export them in the international market.
As of now, Bajaj holds 47.96 per cent stake in KTM.
Bajaj currently sells its bikes and scooters through two mediums. These mediums include the Bajaj showrooms that sell all the Bajaj bikes and the Probiking showrooms that sell bikes from KTM and Kawasaki.
Presently the Bajaj bikes have captured a good amount of share of the Indian market with the help of new innovations they offer in an affordable price range.
