Key Highlights:

  • The Hyundai Alcazar facelift showcases distinct design cues inspired by the Santa Fe and Palisade, setting it apart from the Creta.
  • Continuing with reliable powertrains, the Alcazar facelift retains the 1.5L turbo petrol and diesel engines for efficient performance in diverse driving conditions.
  • Positioned to compete in India's competitive SUV market, the Alcazar facelift aims to appeal to buyers seeking a blend of luxury, technology, and spaciousness.
  • Expected interior updates include dual 10.2-inch screens, advanced telematics, and Level 2 ADAS, enhancing driver convenience and connectivity.

One of India’s largest car manufacturers, Hyundai Motors, is all set to introduce the Alcazar Facelift. The new SUV is suspected to be based on the recently launched third-generation Creta facelift. The Alcazar facelift might offer major design changes that will set it apart from the other Hyundai cars in the current lineup.

Exterior Design: Different from the Creta

In the past, Hyundai has defined distinct design features between the Creta and Alcazar models, especially at the front and rear, as the side effects are the same. The Alcazar is built on a long platform with a long wheelbase to accommodate three rows of seats.

The latest spy shots from autonation_india reveal more details about the fascia of the Alcazar facelift, confirming that there will be more design differences between the upcoming model and the Creta facelift.

The Hyundai Alcazar facelift's signature LED DRL is completely new and appears to be inspired by the new Santa Fe with its elongated 'H' shape. The actual lights are similar to those of Crete. The front grill looks like one big piece, but the shape can vary depending on the body colour, so it's similar to the grill on the Creta.

From the side, the Alcazar facelift gets new alloy wheels that appear to have an 8-spoke design. The rear spy shot shows a vertically aligned taillight, inspired by the design of the Palisade, as opposed to the Corolla's taillight.

Interior Updates and Features

Inside, the Alcazar facelift is expected to feature an interior layout nearly identical to the Creta facelift, with two horizontal 10.2-inch screens – one for the driver's instrumentation and the other for the main infotainment system, which will likely offer wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Other anticipated features include dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, Level 2 ADAS with adaptive cruise control, an optional second-row captain seat configuration, a dashcam, advanced telematics suite, and more.

Powertrain Options

Little to no changes are expected for the electronics. The Alcazar facelift will continue with the same two engine options as the current model. There is a 1.5L GDI turbocharged petrol engine capable of producing a maximum power of 160 PS and a maximum torque of 253 Nm, and a 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine with 113 horsepower. The torque is 250 Nm.

With its unique design elements and interior features, the Hyundai Alcazar facelift aims to strengthen its position in the SUV segment by competing with rivals such as Kia Carens, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700 in which I am to work.
