Audi A3 Highlights
Audi A3 is a sub-compact executive car launched by the German automakers in 1996. However, the premium entry-level sedan reached in Indian shore in mid-2014. In 2017, the manufacturer introduced an upgraded version of A3, and we can say, it is a perfect combination of luxury and performance. It remains based on the Volkswagen Group MQB platform and is available in two variants- Premium Plus and Technology in both the fuel version. Externally, the 2017 A3 features a larger hexagonal grille, redesigned sweptback LED headlamps with sharp LED DRLs, a tweaked front bumper with larger air intakes, and conspicuous lines on the bonnet. The rear end also looks stylish with revised taillights bearing detailed dynamic turn indicators. The sedan runs on 10 or 15 spoke 16-inch alloy wheels.
The interiors of A3 is luxurious with lush black leather upholstery, soft-touch materials, and enough head, shoulder, and legroom for an average Indian adult. The front seats are electrically adjustable and more comfortable than the rear ones. The sedan also features two-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, smartphone charging point, and a 7-inch retractable screen for infotainment. The safety of the vehicle is taken care of by dual airbags, rear parking sensors, anti-slip regulation, anti-lock-braking system, and manual child locks. The top-spec TDI Technology gets powered by a BS-IV compliant, 1968cc, 4-cylinders, Inline diesel engine, churning out a maximum power of 141 bhp @ 3500 rpm, and a peak torque of 320 Nm @ 1500 rpm. An automatic 7-speed gearbox takes care of the transmission duties sending power to front wheels. The car also promises an excellent mileage of 20.37 kmpl. Overall, Audi A3 is an impressive entry-level luxury sedan in the Rs 30 lakh price range.
