Audi Q3 2022 Highlights
Audi Q3, with its sporty stance, is one of the best compact luxury SUV in an affordable price range. Released in 2012, it is the first Audi SUV line-up in the Indian subcontinent. The German automaker launched the second generation of this vehicle in 2019. The current model remains based on Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform which also underpins other popular European cars like Audi A3, Volkswagen Passat and Skoda Octavia. The new platform has made the 2019 Q3 97mm longer, 25mm broader than the outgoing model. The exterior of the reincarnated SUV borrows design language from the Q8 so that you can expect an aggressive stance. It sports a massive single-frame octagonal grille with chrome surrounds and chrome vertical slats. Besides, you also get wedge-like LED headlamps with articulated LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) that even double up as turn indicators. At the rear end, the tweaked tail lamps resemble the detailing of DRLs at the front.
The cabin of Q3 looks premium with piano-black upholstery and chrome garnishing. Stepping inside, you get greeted by an eye-catching 10.25-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit serving as the instrument cluster. There is also three-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and an 8.1-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It supports a 15-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system transforming the cabin into a mini auditorium. The safety of the SUV is taken care of by adaptive cruise control, six airbags, lane departure warning, 360-degree view camera, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and blind-spot detection. The SUV gets propelled by a 1968cc, 4-cylinders, Inline, turbocharged diesel motor in the top-specs. It generates a maximum power of 184 bhp @ 3500 rpm, and a peak torque of 380 Nm @ 1750 rpm. A 7-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all the wheels with the help of a dual-clutch plate. Overall, Q3 is an excellent compact luxury SUV with eye-catching features.
