Hyundai Verna Brochure

I moved from a compact SUV back to a sedan, and the Verna 2026 reminded me why sedans are fun. The handling is sharp, and it stays flat in corners. The steering wheel feels premium and the Morse code 'H' logo is a quirky detail I like. Mileage is okay—I'm getting 12 kmpl in the city and 18 kmpl on the highway. I gave it 4.4 because the trunk space, while large on paper, has a bit of an awkward shape due to the wheel arches, making it hard to fit three large suitcases.

The ride quality is the standout feature for me. It glides over small potholes much better than the previous generation. The seats are very supportive, and the electric driver's seat with memory is great since my husband and I both drive the car. However, I found the LED projector headlights to be a bit weak on unlit highways during rain. I might need to upgrade the bulbs. For city driving, though, it’s easily the most comfortable sedan in the segment.

I bought the HX8 variant because it felt like the sweet spot for value. You get the 16-inch alloy wheels and the sunroof without crossing the 18 lakh mark. The build quality feels "thicker" than Hyundais of the past, and that 5-star safety rating gives me peace of mind. The only reason it isn’t a 5/5 is that the "Parametric" grille is still a love-it-or-hate-it design-I've grown to like it, but my neighbors think it’s a bit too much "extra."
