Introduction
GLS facelift is the flagship 3 row SUV model from Mercedes Benz. It is the SUV equivalent of the S-Class sedan in the Mercedes lineup. Moreover, with the new 2024 facelift, Mercedes has made the 3 row SUV more luxurious and premium by adding a number of advanced features.
Exterior and Design
In the front, the new GLS facelift gets a revised grille with 4 thick chrome strips instead of 2 in the pre-facelift model. Moreover, it offers 21 inch alloys, a refreshed front bumper design, new DRL signature and a new pattern in rear tail lamps.
Interior and Features
In the interior, the new GLS gets more premium & luxury features. These include heated and ventilated seats, 4 zone auto climate control AC, new steering with haptic enabled mounted controls, latest gen MBUX infotainment system, wireless phone charger etc. Moreover, it also offers a rear seat comfort package that includes features like rear wireless phone charger, rear window electric sunblinds, two 11 inch entertainment screens along with a tablet to control all the vehicle functions.
For safety, the new GLS facelift comes with ADAS tech that includes features like auto high beam assist, rear blind spot alert, active stop and go, etc. Moreover, there’s also a 360 camera system included in the package.
Engine and Transmission
Mercedes Benz offers a 3 litre 6 cylinder petrol producing 381 hp of power and 500 Nm of torque and a 3 litre 6 cylinder diesel producing 367 hp of power and 700 Nm of torque. Both the engines come with the mild hybrid tech with an ISG (integrated starter generator) that also assists with an additional boost of 20 hp of power and 200 Nm of torque. On the transmission front, it gets a 9 speed automatic transmission as standard.
Drive Train
The facelifted GLS comes with the brand's advanced 4MATIC all wheel drive system and AIRMATIC adjustable air suspension.
Dimension
The new Mercedes Benz GLS facelift is 5.2 metres in length and 1.96 metres in width. Moreover, it is a 3 row SUV with a wheelbase of over 3 metres and a water-wading capacity of 500 mm.
Variants and Colours
GLS Customers can choose from 5 colour options. Moreover, buyers can also choose from 3 different colours for interior faux leather finish.
