The available powertrains in this third-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class are a carryover from the previous design. Therefore, the C200 comes with the well-known 1.5-liter gasoline engine, which produces 203 horsepower and 300 Nm. The 2.0-liter engine in the C220 diesel produces 197 horsepower and 440 Nm. The C300d, which has a 262bhp and 550Nm output, is the top-of-the-line diesel and what we are driving in this review. Each of the three engines has four cylinders and comes standard with a nine-speed automated transmission. A 48V mild-hybrid with an integrated starting generator that is designed to give a boost, aid in coasting, and improve fuel efficiency is also included as standard across the entire range.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Exterior Design

The new C-Class is referred to by Mercedes-Benz as the "Baby S-Class." Although it may appear that way in photographs taken at specific angles, it is not the case in actual metal. The front of the vehicle has a new grille that looks much sportier and is modeled after larger AMGs. The false headlamps and air vents are located lower down. Although it has the same family face as the E-Class and S-Class, the C has a considerably sportier and more recognizable appearance. While the regular C-Class comes with 17-inch wheels, the AMG Line offers these AMG-spec wheels with distinctively thick rims. In actuality, the C-Class has a strong, sporty profile with just the perfect amount of muscle all throughout.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Interior & Features

The C-cabin Class's is difficult to distinguish from the S- Class. Over the wooden dash is a sizable touchscreen panel, which is an interesting change from the existing E's layout. The steering wheel has a flat bottom and a leather wrap for a dynamic feel with this AMG specification. A 12-inch all-digital display with fancy-looking graphics and all the information you could possibly need is located behind the steering wheel. You can choose from a wide variety of choices for what appears on the screen and never grow tired of it.
