हीरो एक्सट्रीम 200आर
Hero first forayed in the 200cc segment with the Xtreme 200R. It is Hero Motocorp’s first two-wheeler in the premium segment with a diamond-type chassis and rear monoshock, along with an engine that is based on the Achiever’s 150cc unit.
Hero announced the donation of 60 Hero Xtreme 200R modified into bike ambulances with the intention to fight the coronavirus. The bike ambulance comes with a sidecar that has a bed which is big enough to accommodate a person. This should help in reaching remote areas where full-sized ambulances cannot reach. There are more add-on modifications made to the motorcycle to meet its purpose too.
The Xtreme 200R sports a traditional yet sporty design with a moulded fuel tank, fine-looking headlamp, and aerodynamic shrouds around the engine. The headlamp looks like a halogen unit whereas the tail lamp is an LED light. Xtreme 200R also has a semi-digital instrument cluster with an analogue tachometer which speaks about technology.
Additionally, a rear tyre hugger, it gets split grab rails, ABS, engine cowl and 17-inch alloy wheels and front and rear disc brakes. Strengthened by the Xtreme 200R is a single-cylinder, air-cooled 199.6cc engine that generates a max power figure of 18.4PS and a peak torque of 17.1 Nm, coupled with a 5-speed transmission. Hero maintains a fuel efficiency of 39.9kmpl and a maximum speed of 112 kmph. The Xtreme 200R competes with the Bajaj Pulsar 220F and the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
