Details of Price Increases

The Yamaha R15 received the highest price hike among all models, with an increase of Rs 4,900. This makes it the most affected model in Yamaha's Indian portfolio for May 2026.

The MT-15, Yamaha's 155cc street fighter motorcycle, saw the second-highest price hike. All MT-15 variants now cost Rs 3,800 more than before.

The FZ-X also experienced a price increase. The standard FZ-X variant is now Rs 2,500 more expensive, while the higher-spec DLX variant has a Rs 2,800 increase.

The XSR 155, a neo-retro motorcycle based on Yamaha's 155cc platform, received a price hike of Rs 1,000. However, the Metallic Blue variant remains at Rs 1,49,990 (Ex-showroom), keeping its launch price unchanged. Other color options are now Rs 1,000 more expensive.

Price Hikes for Scooters

Yamaha's scooter lineup also saw price adjustments. The Aerox 155, the brand's flagship scooter, now costs Rs 2,800 more for both the Standard and Version S variants. The Version S offers additional features and technology.

The RayZR 125 scooter has a uniform price hike of Rs 2,200 across all four variants. After the increase, prices for the RayZR 125 now range from Rs 76,960 to Rs 89,760 (Ex-showroom).

The Fascino scooter received a Rs 1,000 price hike, but only for the higher-spec Disc Brake and TFT cluster variants. The other variants remain unaffected by this round of price increases.

Market Context

Yamaha recently entered the Indian electric scooter market with the launch of the EC-06. Despite this expansion, the company cites rising costs as the main reason for the latest price hikes across its petrol-powered models.

These changes reflect broader trends in the Indian two-wheeler market, where manufacturers face increasing production and logistics expenses. Yamaha's adjustments ensure continued alignment with market realities and operational costs.
