As the automotive industry gears up for another exciting launch, Hyundai is set to unveil the highly anticipated 2024 Hyundai Creta in the Indian market on Tuesday. Having carved an opportunity for itself in the mid-size SUV segment since its initial launch in 2015, the Creta has been committed to Hyundai, boasting of a customer base of over 9.80 lakh in nearly nine years. With a facelift that promises to elevate its style and features, the 2024 Hyundai Creta is aiming to fortify its leadership position in the Indian SUV market.

The Evolution of a Best-seller
The Hyundai Creta, positioned as the best-selling SUV in India for the Korean automaker, has played a pivotal role in the company's SUV portfolio. Nestled between the Venue and the Tucson, the new Creta promises substantial updates in both exterior styling and interior features. The inclusion of Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) showcases Hyundai's commitment to safety and innovation.

Pricing Predictions

While the current price structure for the second-generation Hyundai Creta ranges between ₹10.90 lakh and ₹19.20 lakh (ex-showroom), expectations are that the 2024 model may see a slight upward revision. The base variant is likely to retain its competitive pricing, starting at ₹10.90 lakh (ex-showroom), aligning with its key rival, the Kia Seltos. However, the higher variants may witness an increment of somewhere between ₹20,000 to ₹50,000, with the top-end diesel variant potentially reaching a price range of ₹12 lakh to ₹22 lakh (ex-showroom). The introduction of the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine on the top-end variant could command a price tag of around ₹21 lakh (ex-showroom).
Engine and Transmission Choices

The heart of the 2024 Hyundai Creta lies in its engine options. Hyundai is introducing its 1.5-litre Turbo GDi Petrol engine, complemented by the 1.5l MPi petrol and 1.5l U2 CRDi diesel options. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual, Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), and six-speed automatic transmission. Notably, the turbo petrol variant exclusively pairs with the seven-speed DCT.
Variant Lineup
The new Hyundai Creta will offer consumers a wide array of choices with seven broad variants. From the entry-level E variant to the top-of-the-line SX (O) variant, the 2024 Creta lineup includes E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX (O). Each variant promises a unique blend of features, serving various preferences in the mid-size SUV segment.
