The Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift will launch on July 24, with key details revealed before its debut. The most significant update is the addition of a second engine option. The new engine is a 1.0-litre Boosterjet petrol, delivering 109 HP and 170 Nm of torque. Leaked documents show this engine will initially be available only with a manual transmission.

The existing 1.5-litre petrol engine remains available. It produces 98 HP and 139 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission for this engine.

The new 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine expands the Brezza's lineup. This engine is expected to help Maruti meet sub-4-metre regulations, potentially lowering the starting price. The 1.5-litre petrol engine continues with both manual and automatic options, providing flexibility for buyers.

Feature and Design Updates

The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift introduces several new features inside and out. Exterior changes include LED fog lamps, redesigned alloy wheels, and an underbody CNG tank. These updates aim to keep the Brezza competitive in its segment.

Inside, the facelifted Brezza receives ventilated front seats, a 10.1-inch infotainment system, and 64-colour ambient lighting. These features are already available on the Victoris SUV and are likely to be reserved for the top-spec variants of the Brezza.

Market Context and Competition

The update arrives as many rivals in the sub-compact SUV segment are also receiving major upgrades or will do so in the next six to eight months. The Brezza's new features and engine options align it with current segment standards, ensuring it remains a relevant choice for buyers. The segment includes competitors from Nissan and Honda, with new models expected soon.
