Expansion Details in Gujarat
The new facilities are located in Ahmedabad and Himmatnagar. With these additions, Skoda Auto India now operates 25 touchpoints across 16 cities in Gujarat. The partnership with PPS Motors marks the dealer group's entry into the Gujarat automotive market.
The largest of the new outlets is a 26,700 square foot sales and service centre in Naroda, Ahmedabad. This facility features a showroom floor that can display six cars. It also includes 19 service bays and a dedicated express care bay for quick maintenance tasks.
In Maninagar, Ahmedabad, Skoda has opened a 4,800 square foot sales showroom. This location can display up to seven vehicles at a time, providing customers with a range of options to view.
Outside Ahmedabad, a 10,600 square foot 3S (Sales, Service, and Spares) facility is now operational in Himmatnagar. This centre offers a four-car display floor and a four-bay service workshop to cater to local customer needs.
Strategic Impact and Network Growth
According to Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, these new outlets bring the total number of operational touchpoints in Ahmedabad to five. This supports the company's broader strategy to increase sales volumes and customer reach in the region.
Skoda Auto India's expansion in Gujarat is part of a larger national growth plan. Across India, the company now has over 340 touchpoints in 189 cities. The expanded network aims to provide better access to sales and after-sales services for customers nationwide.
The collaboration with PPS Motors is expected to enhance the customer experience in Gujarat. The new facilities are equipped to handle both sales and service requirements, ensuring comprehensive support for Skoda vehicle owners.
