2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift to make debut on 18 August with new features

Skoda Auto India plans to launch the updated Slavia sedan on 18 August 2026. The facelifted model will feature subtle exterior changes, new equipment, and an additional automatic transmission option. These updates aim to enhance the sedan’s appeal in the competitive midsize segment.

Key Interior and Feature Updates

The 2026 Skoda Slavia will likely receive a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, similar to the one in the Kushaq. The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is expected to continue, along with the two-spoke steering wheel that has silver scroll controls. Skoda may update the interior colour scheme and seat upholstery and add front parking sensors for improved convenience.

A rear-seat massage function, already available in the Kushaq SUV, is expected to be introduced in the Slavia. Other features set to remain include an 8-speaker audio system, a single-pane sunroof, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, wireless smartphone charging, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and six airbags. These features aim to maintain the sedan’s comfort and safety standards.

Exterior Changes and Mechanical Details

The Slavia facelift is expected to receive mild cosmetic updates rather than a complete redesign. The front grille may feature a new design with an integrated lighting element inspired by the Kushaq. Headlamps are likely to get updated LED signatures. Skoda is also expected to revise the front and rear bumpers and introduce newly designed alloy wheels.

Mechanically, the Slavia will likely continue with its current turbo-petrol engine lineup. The 1.0-litre TSI engine produces 115 HP and will remain available with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre TSI engine, which develops 150 HP, is expected to receive a significant update.

This variant could get an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox, either replacing or joining the existing options, depending on the trim. The 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is also expected to remain on offer.

Expected Launch and Market Position

Skoda Auto India has set 18 August 2026 as the launch date for the facelifted Slavia. The updated sedan will compete in the midsize sedan segment, where features, comfort, and performance play a crucial role in buyer decisions.
