MINI Cooper Oxford Edition celebrates 25 years of Oxford plant production

MINI has introduced the new Cooper Oxford Edition to celebrate 25 years of modern MINI production at its Oxford plant in the United Kingdom. This special edition highlights the brand’s British heritage with unique design features inspired by the Union Jack. The Oxford facility has been central to MINI’s history, producing the original Mini since 1959 and the modern MINI under BMW Group since 2001.

Distinctive Exterior and Interior Features

The Mini Cooper Oxford Edition features a white contrast roof with a contemporary Union Jack design. A red and white centre stripe runs the length of the roof, giving the car a unique appearance. The edition is available in three exterior paint options: Chilli Red, Indigo Sunset Blue, and Blazing Blue. White mirror caps complement the paint finishes.

The car rides on 18-inch Slide Spoke dual-tone alloy wheels. These wheels include edition-specific hub and valve cap details, further distinguishing the model. Inside, MINI continues the British theme with exclusive elements. The steering wheel displays a textured Union Jack motif at the six o’clock position.

The driver’s floor mat features a circular Union Jack graphic, while the passenger-side mat has a chequered flag design inspired by MINI’s motorsport history. Unique door sill plates also set the edition apart.

Variants and Additional Offerings

The Oxford Edition is available in both MINI Cooper C and MINI Cooper S variants. MINI has not announced any mechanical changes compared to the standard models. The focus remains on cosmetic updates and exclusive styling elements.

Alongside the car, MINI has launched the Oxford Capsule lifestyle collection. This range includes a travel bag, T-shirts, a cap, stickers, and an umbrella. All items feature design cues inspired by the Oxford Edition and its Union Jack theme.

Clarification on Edition Naming

MINI has clarified that this Oxford Edition is a new global special edition. It is not related to the long-running Oxford Edition sold in the United States, despite sharing the same name. This distinction ensures there is no confusion between the two editions.
