The 2024 KTM 390 Adventure, spied testing, features a new 399cc engine, improved front design, and likely adjustable suspension.
KTM is actively testing the next-generation model of its popular 390 Adventure, and the bike has been spied on multiple occasions. As enthusiasts eagerly await its official launch, a new spy shot of the bike has surfaced online, revealing exciting details.
The latest image clearly shows the front section of the motorcycle, which looks larger and more imposing than the current model. It features a tall windscreen with a registration plate attached to it. This windscreen surrounds the headlamp assembly, indicating impressive wind protection. The headlamp houses vertically stacked LEDs, and the overall design resembles the bigger KTM adventure bikes, particularly the new 390 Adventure.
A significant highlight of the bike is the new 399cc, liquid-cooled engine, similar to the one on the latest 390 Duke. On the naked bike, this engine produces 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm of torque. The performance numbers for the 390 Adventure are expected to be similar but with different tuning and gearing. This engine will be paired with a new chassis, and other components like the swingarm, suspension, and spoke wheels are also expected to be updated. Adjustable WP suspension might come standard, at least on the higher variants.
In addition to the version shown in the spy shot, KTM might launch a more hardware-focused version of the 390 Adventure with a 21-inch front wheel. An official announcement is expected at this year’s EICMA, followed by a launch in India, with the launch expected to happen by the end of 2024 or early 2025.
