The all-new third-generation Audi Q3 made its way to the overseas market. But the vehicle is still awaiting its entry into the Indian automotive landscape. However, Audi is planning to expand its SUV portfolio in India, and for this, the brand is ready to launch its premium third-gen Q3 ahead of the 2026 season. Recently, the upcoming model of the Audi Q3 was spied testing for the first time ahead of its 2026 launch.

This latest post-production model was seen undisguised on a flatbed in Mumbai without camouflage, providing a clear look at the design changes before its official Indian market debut. Expected to make its debut in 2026, the upcoming Q3 will replace the current model. Let’s take a closer look at what subtle changes this car undergoes from the current generation and what it might offer for the Indian market.

New Refreshed Exterior

The upcoming 2026 Audi Q3 has been spotted testing while being transported on a flatbed along LBS Marg in Mumbai. An enthusiast noticed that there were different variants of the car possessing several exterior changes. Seeing the car at first sight, we can see the latest hexagonal grille at the front fascia of the car. Even the new 2D Audi logo appears with redesigned LED DRLs. With these new possessed lightning, the vehicle promises improved visibility and adaptive light signatures.

Looking at the recent images of the vehicle that surfaced on the internet, we can see an all-new setup of OLED taillamps at the rear. The car offers a cleaner tailgate, and a possible full-width light element enhances road presence. Fresh alloy wheel designs and crisper body creases help the new Q3 look more athletic than the outgoing Indian model.

Digital-First Cabin And Features

While getting behind the wheel, the car will greet its driver with an all-new LED instrument cluster integrated with an 11.9-inch display. The dashboard features a 12.8-inch or 12.9-inch central console touch-screen infotainment system. This touch-screen display will run on Android OS and will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The infotainment system runs a modern software stack with connectivity, voice control, and wireless smartphone integration. Expected features include ambient lighting, a cooled wireless charger, multiple USB‑C ports, and a premium SONOS audio system.

Globally, the third-gen Q3 moves to the Volkswagen MQB Evo platform, enabling better dynamics, efficiency, and support for electrified powertrains. For the 2026 India launch, the third-gen Audi Q3 will be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder TFSI turbo-petrol engine that churns out 204 HP of power and 320 Nm of peak torque.

This robust engine will be paired with a 7-speed DCT that directs power to all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Talking about its performance, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.1 seconds.

Positioning And Expected Launch

The current Audi Q3 in India is priced from around Rs 43 lakh ex-showroom, and the new-gen model is likely to command a noticeable premium. Once launched, the new Q3 will renew Audi’s challenge to rivals like the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Volvo XC40 in the compact luxury SUV segment.
