Audi Cars

Audi currently offers 18 car models in India, catering to diverse customer needs. The lineup includes 11 SUVs, 6 Sedans, 1 Coupe, along with 6 electric cars for buyers looking to switch to cleaner mobility.

Audi has established itself as India's leading luxury carmaker, consistently dominating the premium automotive segment. The German manufacturer commands significant market share in the luxury space, with its iconic four-ring emblem symbolizing engineering excellence and aspirational ownership across Indian cities. With 14 models currently available, Audi cars are celebrated for their cutting-edge technology, refined performance, and progressive design language that sets benchmarks in the luxury segment.

Strengthening Audi's premium positioning is an extensive network of dealerships and service facilities strategically located in major metropolitan areas and tier-2 cities. The brand operates over 50 touchpoints across India, ensuring customers receive world-class sales and after-sales experiences. Each Audi dealership offers a premium environment with dedicated service bays, certified technicians, and genuine parts availability, maintaining the brand's reputation for quality and reliability.

One area where Audi continues to lead is technological innovation. The brand's quattro all-wheel-drive system, Virtual Cockpit digital displays, and MMI infotainment interfaces have become industry standards that competitors aspire to match. Audi India has strategically embraced electrification, introducing e-tron electric SUVs and plug-in hybrid variants across multiple model lines. While petrol engines remain the primary choice, Audi's TFSI turbocharged powertrains deliver impressive performance with respectable efficiency. The brand has also discontinued diesel options in select models, focusing instead on cleaner BS6 Phase 2 compliant petrol and electric drivetrains. Audi is actively working toward expanding its electric portfolio, with plans to introduce multiple e-tron models tailored for Indian buyers.

Once perceived as purely performance-focused, Audi's current lineup balances driving dynamics with comprehensive luxury features. From advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to premium Bang & Olufsen audio, ambient lighting packages, and connected car technology, modern Audi models offer everything discerning buyers expect from a luxury automobile.

2025 Audi Q8 Review - Bold and beautiful

Audi Q8 – What Is It?

Some luxury SUVs are designed to make a statement.

The Audi Q8 doesn't shout. It doesn't rely on oversized grilles or excessive chrome to grab attention. Instead, it exudes confidence through clean design, understated elegance and engineering that's been perfected over decades.

Sharp lines and creases define the updated new Q8's exteriors styling.

Sitting at the top of Audi's SUV range in India, the Q8 is the brand's flagship luxury SUV. It combines the practicality of a full-size SUV with the sleek proportions of a coupe, all while delivering the comfort expected from a luxury limousine and the performance of a proper grand tourer.

The 2025 facelift brings subtle but meaningful improvements. The styling has been sharpened, lighting technology has taken another leap forward, the cabin feels even more premium and the technology package has been updated to keep pace with newer rivals. Under the bonnet, however, remains one of the Q8's biggest strengths—a silky smooth 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine assisted by a 48V mild-hybrid system, producing 340hp and 500Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels through Audi's legendary quattro all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The result is an SUV that isn't trying to be the sportiest or the flashiest in its class. Instead, it focuses on doing everything exceptionally well.

Exterior Design: Understated Brilliance

If there was ever an SUV that proves less can be more, it's the Audi Q8.

Even several years after its global debut, the design still feels fresh. The facelift introduces a redesigned Singleframe grille, slimmer Matrix LED headlights, new digital daytime running light signatures and revised bumpers, giving the SUV an even more sophisticated appearance.

Attention to detail in the headlamps is phenomenal. Complex matrix lamp setup looks cool.

Viewed from the side, the Q8 is beautifully proportioned. The sloping roofline gives it the elegance of a coupe without seriously compromising practicality, while the muscular shoulder line and wide stance give it unmistakable road presence.

Rear end of new Q8 looks just as tight and clean as front end. Lots of muscle in design details.

At the rear, the full-width LED light bar remains one of the Q8's signature design elements. It's classy rather than dramatic and looks particularly stunning after sunset.

Unlike some rivals that demand attention wherever they go, the Q8 has a quieter confidence. It appeals to buyers who appreciate timeless design rather than passing trends.

This is an SUV that will probably look just as elegant five years from now.

Interior Design And Cabin Experience: Luxury Done The Audi Way

Open the heavy doors and you're welcomed into one of the finest cabins in the segment. Everything feels beautifully crafted. From the soft leather upholstery to the brushed aluminium trim and precisely damped switchgear, every surface reminds you that Audi remains one of the masters of interior design.

The dual touchscreen MMI system, Audi Virtual Cockpit and crisp graphics create an unmistakably high-tech atmosphere, yet the cabin never feels intimidating. Once you're familiar with the controls, everything becomes second nature.

Dual tone screen set up looks neat. Lower one is only for HVAC controls. Top for infotainment.

The panoramic sunroof floods the cabin with light, while the excellent Bang & Olufsen audio system transforms every drive into a private concert.

Perhaps the biggest compliment you can pay the Q8 is this—it doesn't feel like a car you merely drive.

It feels like a place you genuinely enjoy spending time in.

Quattro badge inside cabin reminds you of all wheel drive set up this car comes with.

Space And Rear Seat Comfort: Luxury For Everyone

Despite its coupe-inspired silhouette, the Audi Q8 is surprisingly accommodating. The front seats are exceptionally comfortable, offering multiple electrical adjustments, ventilation and massage functions on higher variants. Long journeys become almost effortless. Move to the rear and the Q8 continues to impress.

Plenty of space for two in the back seats. Huge hump in floor limits third passenger legroom though.
Dual zone climate control at the rear ensures total four climate control zones inside cabin.

There's generous legroom, excellent shoulder room and more headroom than you'd expect from the sloping roofline. The rear seat backrests can also be adjusted, allowing passengers to find their ideal seating position.

Whether you're driving yourself or being chauffeured, the Q8 never feels like a compromise.

It successfully combines style with genuine usability—something many coupe SUVs struggle to achieve. The 605-litre boot is equally impressive, making the Q8 perfectly suited to airport runs, family holidays or golf weekends.

Performance: A Masterclass In Refinement

The heart of the Q8 is undoubtedly its magnificent 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine. Producing 340hp and 500Nm, it isn't about explosive acceleration or theatrical exhaust notes. Instead, it's about effortless performance.

Creamy engine and responsive gearbox ensures plenty of driver's delight.

Touch the accelerator and the Q8 gathers speed with an almost electric-like smoothness. The V6 feels incredibly refined, delivering a wave of torque that makes overtaking effortless and highway cruising completely stress-free.

Audi claims a 0-100kph time of just 5.6 seconds, and it certainly feels every bit as quick as those numbers suggest. Yet what impresses even more is how quietly it goes about its business. Even under hard acceleration, the engine remains cultured and refined.

The eight-speed automatic transmission deserves equal praise. Gear shifts are virtually imperceptible, always selecting the right ratio without drawing attention to itself. Meanwhile, the 48V mild-hybrid system helps improve efficiency and allows the engine to coast under certain conditions, making long-distance cruising even smoother. This is an engine you'll appreciate more with every kilometre.

Ride And Handling: Effortless Is The Best Word

Luxury SUVs often struggle to balance comfort with handling. The Audi Q8 manages both brilliantly. Its adaptive air suspension glides over rough roads with remarkable composure, insulating occupants from potholes and broken tarmac without ever feeling floaty. On the highway, the Q8 comes alive.

It feels planted, incredibly stable and inspires enormous confidence at high speeds. Wind noise is almost non-existent, road noise is exceptionally well suppressed and the cabin remains whisper quiet even at triple-digit speeds. Find a winding road and the Q8 surprises once again.

Ride quality errs on the side of comfort rather than outright thrills keeping rear occupants in mind.

Thanks to the quattro all-wheel-drive system, excellent chassis balance and precise steering, this large SUV shrinks around you. It doesn't pretend to be a sports car, but it certainly hides its size remarkably well.

It's one of those rare luxury SUVs that encourages you to take the long route home.

Features And Safety: Technology Without Overcomplication

Audi has always excelled at integrating technology without overwhelming the driver.

The Q8 comes loaded with premium equipment, including HD Matrix LED headlights, Audi Virtual Cockpit, dual touchscreen MMI displays, four-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, connected car technology, premium Bang & Olufsen audio and adaptive air suspension. Safety is equally comprehensive, with multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control and an advanced suite of driver assistance systems depending on the variant.

The beauty is that none of this technology feels intrusive. It simply works.

Verdict: The Thinking Person's Luxury SUV

The Audi Q8 isn't designed to dominate spec sheets. It doesn't rely on outrageous horsepower figures or exaggerated styling to make an impression. Instead, it wins you over through refinement. Every journey feels effortless. Every control feels beautifully engineered.

Every kilometre reminds you why Audi has built such a loyal following among enthusiasts who value understated luxury. Yes, rivals like the BMW X5 may feel sportier, while the Mercedes-Benz GLE majors on outright comfort. But the Q8 strikes a rare balance between the two. It feels athletic when you want it to, serene when you need it to and luxurious all the time. It's not a car that tries to impress everyone. It's a car that quietly impresses the people who matter most—the ones behind the wheel.

Final Score: 9.4/10

Elegant, immensely refined and wonderfully engineered, the Audi Q8 is a luxury SUV that rewards every drive. It may not be the loudest choice in the segment, but it could very well be the most complete.
