Audi A4 Highlights
Audi introduced A4 in the Indian market in 2016, and the first look at this compact executive sedan would prove its sophisticated and elegant stance. The car is available in four variants- Premium Plus, Quick Lift Premium Plus, Technology Pack, and Quick Lift Technology Pack. It remains based on the Volkswagen Group MLB Evo platform which utilises an adequate amount of aluminium and magnesium in the construction. It helps in enhancing the rigidity of the vehicle in spite of keeping the overall weight lighter than its competitors. The manufacturer has tried to portray an evolutionary design in A4, which is evident from its angular headlamps with DRLs, massive hexagonal grille, faux silver inserts around fog lamps, and sharp creases extending up to its LED tail lamps. The sedan runs on 17-inch five-arm Tornado alloys staying true to its premium looks.
The interior of A4 looks thoroughly modern with extensive use of premium quality materials. You get an Audi Virtual Cockpit serving as the instrument cluster of the vehicle. It is an engaging experience seating in front of it, as the futuristic touchscreen provides all information about navigation, speed, among other details about the car. There is also a yacht-style gear shifter, toggle-like aircon buttons, three-zone climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen on the dash having Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Under the hood of the top-spec 35 TDI Technology, you get a BS-IV compliant, 1968cc, 4-cylinders Inline diesel motor. It pumps out an impressive 188 bhp @ 4200 rpm, and a peak torque of 400 Nm @ 1750 rpm. The oil burner remains mated to a 7-speed S-tronic twin-clutch automatic gearbox transmitting power to the front wheels. A4 promises a mileage of 17.84 kmpl and can sprint to 100 kmph in barely 7.94 seconds. Overall, it is an excellent sedan if you want an elegant design and premium driving dynamics.
