Exterior & Design
The all electric BYD Seal comes with extremely aerodynamic exterior design that results in a drag coefficient of 0.219Cd. The air curtains in the front bumper and the aero efficient inserts in the alloys help a lot in improving the aerodynamics of the electric sedan.
Interior & Features
Just like BYD's Atto 3, the Seal will also offer a large size electrically rotatable central infotainment touchscreen, a fully digital drivers display, dual phone charging pads, wireless phone connectivity, connected car tech, ADAS tech and more. We expect it to also come with 53 litre frunk along with a 400 litre boot space. For entry & exit, it is likely to get NFC enabled card key and Bluetooth enabled mobile phone access.
Battery & Motor
For Indian market, we expect BYD Seal to come with a 82.5kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 700 to 800 km. Moreover, likely to come with dual motor all wheel drive setup, the combined output of both the motors is expected to be 530hp of power and 670Nm of torque.
Segment & Rivals
When launched in India, we expect BYD to price it somewhere between Rs 50 to Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom). Also, it will rival other premium electric cars like Kia EV6, Hyundai IONIQ 5 & IONIQ 6, Volvo C40 Recharge etc.
