<p>Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Limited, commonly known as Mahindra, is an Indian multinational automobile manufacturer. Founded in 1945, Mahindra initially manufactured Willys Jeeps under license. The company later developed its own range of utility vehicles and tractors, becoming a prominent player in the Indian market. Mahindra is known for its rugged SUVs and off-road vehicles, such as the Mahindra Thar. It has also ventured into electric vehicles and is recognized for its commitment to sustainability. Currently, the Mahindra Alturas G4 is the flagship model of the company and the XUV700 is its latest entrant in the Indian market. The company had announced that it would only develop and sell utility vehicles in India and has re-positioned itself with a new logo and model restructuring. Mahindra is also one of first the brands in India to introduce electric vehicles, with the Mahindra E2O and the e-Verito cars manufactured under its EV branch – Mahindra Electric. Mahindra also owns the global design house **Pininfarina** which is known for designing cars for international brands such as Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley and many more.</p>
