2WD Petrol 1997 cc Turbo Engine

• The Mahindra Thar 2WD comes with a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine that produces 150bhp and 320Nm, paired with a six-speed torque-converter automatic.
• This engine option is offered exclusively on the LXT trim.

2WD Diesel 1497 cc Turbo Engine

• The Mahindra Thar is powered by a 1.5-litre D117 CRDe turbo-diesel engine delivering 118bhp and 300Nm, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
• It is offered only in a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) setup and is available on both AXT and VXT variants.
  

4WD Petrol 1997 cc Turbo Engine

• The Thar 4WD is powered by a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine producing 150bhp and 300Nm with the six-speed manual.
• The six-speed torque-converter automatic delivers the same power but higher torque at 320Nm.
• This powertrain is offered exclusively in the LXT variant.

4WD Diesel 2184 cc Turbo Engine

• The Mahindra Thar is powered by 2.2 L mHawk Turbo Diesel with CRDe engine produces 132bhp and 300Nm, offered with a smooth six-speed manual or torque-converter automatic and minimal turbo lag.
• It performs strongly off-road handling mud, bumps, and partial submersion while the diesel automatic delivers excellent refinement with low NVH.
• This setup is exclusive to the LXT trim.

• The Mahindra Thar adds major upgrades, including a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Adventure Stats Gen II.

• It also gets a clear rear-view camera, A-pillar grab handle, rear AC vents, door-mounted power windows, centre armrests, a new steering wheel, and an electronic fuel-lid release.

Thar Black Carbon Seats & Upholstery

• The all-black carbon-fibre-style cabin, cushy seats, and ample headroom greatly improve comfort and livability.

• The Mahindra Thar comes equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, and hill descent control, along with brake assist, rear parking sensors, speed and seat-belt alerts, and a standard roll cage.
• Official crash-test ratings are still awaited.

• The Mahindra Thar mostly retains the outgoing model’s exterior design, keeping its rugged stance, boxy silhouette, and three-door layout with a few subtle updates.
• Updates include a new body-coloured grille and a dual-tone front bumper, while the halogen headlamps remain unchanged.
• From the side, it continues with the 18-inch alloy wheels and flared wheel arches. The fuel lid now opens electronically, eliminating the keyhole.

Mahindra Thar Exterior

• At the rear, the dual-tone bumper returns, and the rear parking camera is now integrated neatly into the spare wheel.
• A rear wiper and washer are now added, and it still features a two-step boot opening, squared LED tail lamps, and bumper reflectors.
• Two new colour options—Tango Red and Battleship Grey—have been introduced.

Mahindra Thar Interior

• Inside, the Thar gets major upgrades with an all-black dashboard and upholstery.
• The centre now houses a larger 10.25-inch infotainment display, replacing the previous eight-inch unit.
• Additional updates include a new steering wheel, an A-pillar grab handle, and individual armrests for the front passengers.
