Performance improvements are due to efficiency optimizations rather than new batteries. The Performance model is currently unavailable. Tesla has not confirmed a release date for North America or Europe. Based on current launch timelines, the new Model Y may reach these markets in a few months.

Introduction
Tesla has unveiled the refreshed Model Y, codenamed "Juniper," marking its first major update since 2019. The updated SUV is now available in China and Australia, with deliveries starting in March for China and May for Australia.

Pricing
Australia: Base price is 68,770 AUD ($42,596), up from 60,872 AUD.
China: Pricing starts at 263,500 yuan ($35,900), approximately $3,000 more than the previous model.
Design Updates

Front: Features a continuous light bar replacing traditional headlights, inspired by the Cybertruck.
Rear: Updated taillights connected by a red light strip, similar to the new Model 3 design.
Additional Features: Turn indicators on side mirrors and a front camera embedded in the bumper.
Wheels: In China, options include 19-inch "Interactive Storm" or 20-inch "Spiral Storm" wheels; Australia offers 20-inch "Helix 2.0" wheels.
