<p>Tesla is one of the most popular electric car brands in the world. It is an upcoming car brand in India. Tesla has 1 upcoming car in the country, which is the Model 3. Tesla is an American automotive brand, which was founded in Palo Alto, California. The company was founded in the year 2003 and has its main plant located at Fremont, California. The company's factories, known as Gigafactories, are based in Nevada, New York, and China. The China factory was the first factory from the brand outside the U.S. Tesla manufactures only electric vehicles and presently has cars such as the Tesla Model S, Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model X in its product portfolio. The brand is also focusing on working on two new products, known as the Tesla Model Y and the Tesla Roadster, bookings for which are currently open. Elon Musk, the co-founder of Tesla, had revealed that the company could make its first appearance in India soon, and now it is already planning to do that. Currently, the Tesla car models are imported to the country via the CBU route.</p>
