The next-generation Hyundai Creta has been rendered in new colors, based on recent spy shots of test mules on Indian roads. The Creta has consistently ranked among the top-selling SUVs in India since its launch, dominating the 4.2m–4.5m C-segment SUV space. Hyundai is now preparing the third-generation Creta, which is expected to launch around Diwali 2026 or early 2027.
Key Highlights
- 2027 Hyundai Creta rendered in new colours based on latest spy shots
- The third-generation Creta expected to use updated Hyundai-Kia K3 platform
- Design features include pixel LED DRLs and illuminated quad-dot Hyundai logo
- The interior may offer dual 12.3-inch screens or a triple 30-inch display
- Launch expected around Diwali 2026 or early 2027
Design and Platform Updates

The upcoming 2027 Hyundai Creta is likely to use the updated Hyundai-Kia K3 platform, similar to the next-generation Kia Seltos. This platform may result in a larger overall size for the vehicle. Renders created by Pratyush Rout, based on spy shots from January 2026, show a more refined and modern design. The new Creta features Ioniq-inspired pixel LED DRLs above the headlights, a clamshell bonnet, and a conventional Hyundai logo on the bonnet with an illuminated quad-dot logo below.
Additional design elements include body-colored bumper details inspired by the current Creta N Line, contrasting black elements, and black wheel arch claddings for a muscular appearance. The renders also show a charging port at the upper grille and aerodynamic flaps in the lower grille, suggesting possible electrified variants. The model is expected to come with 19-inch alloy wheels, similar to those on the Tata Sierra, and a more upright windshield to increase interior space.
Other notable features in the renders are flush door handles, large ORVMs with 360-degree cameras, wide rear haunches, and distinctive door claddings. The large glass area is designed to enhance cabin light and visibility.
Interior and Features

Inside, the new Creta may offer dual 12.3-inch infotainment and instrument screens or a triple 30-inch Trinity Display with an extra 5-inch climate control screen, similar to those in the Syros and Seltos. Spy shots confirm the presence of an electric boss mode for rear-seat comfort.
Expected features include ventilated and powered front seats, dual-zone climate control, rear ventilated seats, a powered tailgate, Level-2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, premium Bose speakers, an auto-dimming IRVM, a dashcam, 360-degree cameras, a digital key, and one-touch up/down windows.
Powertrain Options
The third-generation Creta is expected to retain the current trio of 1.5L 4-cylinder engines: 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol, and 1.5L turbo diesel. A self-charging hybrid powertrain, possibly based on the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, is also reportedly in development.
