Aprilia RS 457 First Look

  • Aprilia RS 457 rilvals the likes of KTM RC 390, Yamaha R3 & Kawasaki Ninja 400
  • It carries forward the legacy of RS family of bikes

Aprilia, the Italian motorcycle brand, has launched its first made-in-India bike, the RS 457, at the India Bike Week 2023. The bike is priced at Rs 4.1 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be available for bookings from December 15, 2023.

The RS 457 is a sporty bike that features an aluminium chassis, a full LED headlight, a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, and electronic aids like traction control and riding modes. The bike is powered by a liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that produces 48 hp and 38 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful bike in its segment. The bike also has a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch.

Aprilia RS 457 Side Look

The RS 457 is aimed at young and enthusiastic riders who want a premium and performance-oriented bike that can handle both road and track conditions. The bike will compete with the likes of the KTM RC 390, the Yamaha R3, and the Kawasaki Ninja 400 in the Indian market.

Aprilia claims that the RS 457 is the result of its extensive research and development in India, and that it will also export the bike to other markets. The company hopes that the RS 457 will help it expand its presence and customer base in India, where it currently offers scooters and superbikes.

The RS 457 is the latest addition to the Aprilia RS family, which has a rich history of racing and winning championships. The bike inherits the DNA and design of the Aprilia RS 660 and the Aprilia RSV4, which are renowned for their performance and technology.

The RS 457 will be available in three colours: red, black, and white. The bike will also have a range of accessories and customisation options for the buyers.
