Ather and Bolt.Earth Integrate 195 Fast Chargers Across 100 Indian Cities
Ather Energy and Bolt.Earth have integrated over 195 LECCS-standard Blaze DC chargers into the Ather App, providing fast-charging access in 100-plus Indian cities and aiming to reduce range anxiety for electric two-wheeler riders.

Bolt.Earth and Ather Energy have partnered to integrate over 195 LECCS-standard Blaze DC chargers into the Ather App, covering more than 100 cities. This collaboration aims to reduce range anxiety for electric two-wheeler riders by expanding fast-charging access.
Key Highlights
- Ather and Bolt.Earth integrate over 195 fast chargers in more than 100 Indian cities
- Riders can access Blaze DC chargers via the Ather App and Bolt.Earth EV Charging App
- Chargers deliver up to 40 km range in 15 minutes for electric two-wheelers
- Partnership aims to address range anxiety and expand open-network charging access
Partnership Details and Coverage
Announced on March 26, 2026, the partnership allows Ather scooter riders to locate and use Bolt.Earth's LECCS-enabled Blaze DC fast chargers directly through the Ather App and the scooter dashboard. Riders can also book charging sessions and start charging via the Bolt.Earth EV Charging App. This dual-access arrangement means riders do not need to switch platforms for core charging functions.
Currently, more than 195 Blaze DC 3 kW fast chargers with Type 7 connectors are available under this arrangement. These chargers comply with the LECCS standard and are distributed across over 100 cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mysuru, and Visakhapatnam.
The fast chargers are designed to deliver up to 40 km of range in 15 minutes. This feature aims to reduce downtime and make daily commuting more practical for electric two-wheeler users.
Open Network and Future Expansion
The partnership is structured as an open-network initiative. The integration is not exclusive and is intended to support broader interoperability across the electric vehicle charging ecosystem. Real-time charger discovery and live network availability are available through the integration, addressing concerns about charger availability during journeys.
Bolt.Earth plans to expand charging options by adding 6 kW and 12 kW Blaze DC chargers with LECCS Type 7 connectors in the coming months. These higher-capacity chargers will serve two- and three-wheelers, with deployment focused on urban corridors and high-density routes where quick turnaround is important.
Industry Context and Company Background
S. Raghav Bharadwaj, CEO and Co-Founder of Bolt.Earth, stated that the goal is to make fast charging as routine as refueling. He highlighted the integration across 100-plus cities as a step toward building confidence in everyday journeys and supporting the broader EV transition.
Aravind Prasad, Head of Charging Infrastructure at Ather Energy, said the collaboration extends charging options beyond Ather's own network while maintaining a consistent experience for riders. Both executives emphasized the need to address charging infrastructure as a key barrier to EV adoption in India.
Bolt.Earth, founded in 2017, operates what it describes as India's largest EV charging network, with over 100,000 chargers in more than 1,900 cities. The company began as a connected IoT solutions provider and now offers a full EV ecosystem, supporting two-, three-, and four-wheelers with both standard and fast-charging options.
India's electric two-wheeler segment has grown due to rising fuel costs, government incentives, and more available models. However, limited fast-charging infrastructure outside manufacturer networks continues to constrain wider adoption. Integrating networks through common interfaces is one approach to address range anxiety and support EV growth at scale.
