Audi India Recalls 207 Electric Vehicles Over Brake Servo Push Rod Issue
Audi India has recalled 207 electric vehicles, including e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback models, due to a brake servo push rod connection issue. The recall covers vehicles manufactured between February 2018 and June 2024.

Audi India has recalled 207 electric vehicles due to a potential safety issue with the brake servo push rod connection. The recall affects select units of the e-tron, e-tron Sportback, and Q8 e-tron Sportback produced between 2 February 2018 and 11 June 2024.
Key Highlights
- Audi India recalls 207 electric vehicles for brake servo push rod connection issue
- Affected models include e-tron e-tron Sportback and Q8 e-tron Sportback made from 2018 to 2024
- Inspection and repairs will be performed at authorised service centres at no cost to customers
Recall Details and Affected Models
The recall targets specific electric models manufactured over a six-year period. Audi identified that the bolted connection for the brake servo push rod in these vehicles may not fully meet technical specifications. Over time, this connection could gradually loosen.
If the connection loosens, the mechanical link between the brake pedal and the brake servo may not remain secure. This could impact the vehicle's braking performance and safety.
Safety Measures and Manufacturer Response
Audi has stated that, in the unlikely event the connection becomes completely loose, affected vehicles are equipped with a controlled emergency braking function. Drivers can activate this function by pressing and holding the electromechanical parking brake button on the centre console.
The recall campaign includes inspection and necessary repairs of the affected components at authorised Audi service centres. These services will be provided at no additional cost to customers.
Audi India plans to contact all impacted owners directly as part of this service campaign. The company aims to ensure the safety and reliability of its electric vehicle lineup through this proactive measure.
