The RS Q8 facelift will be introduced on February 17, according to an official announcement from Audi India. The RS Q8 facelift, which is well-known for its flawless design and potent performance, has upgrades that further establish it as one of the most desirable performance SUVs. The potential introduction of the RS Q8 Performance variation, a vehicle that has already caused a stir in other markets, adds even more intrigue.
Exterior and Design
There are few cosmetic changes in the RS Q8 facelift version that looks good from its predecessor. At the front it features a black grille with a 3D honeycomb pattern and carbon fibre accent on front at air vents. On top of that you will get LED matrix headlights and OLED Taillights. If we talk about wheels there will be two options of standard 22 inch alloy wheels and upgraded 23-inches wheels which are optional.
Interior and Features
Inside you get a premium sporty feel with sport seats plus and dual screen centre console and the driver gets quick access to RS drive mode and infotainment system. Apart from that you will get four zone climate control.
Engine and Performance
The RS Q8 Performance variant is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers an impressive 640hp and 850Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 3.6 seconds and top speed can reach over 305kmph. It also comes with a mild-hybrid system with 48V setup.
In comparison, the 3.0-liter turbo-petrol engine of the base Audi Q8 produces 340 horsepower and 500 Nm, which is significantly less than what the RS Q8 Performance can produce.
If we talk about driving experience, the driver will feel great handling stability. It has some great features like active roll stabilisation, all wheel steering, adaptive sir suspension sport and quattro sport differential.
The RS Q8 Performance has shown its track-focused abilities by earning the title of fastest production SUV around the Nurburgring. This accomplishment demonstrates Audi's engineering skill in balancing functionality and performance.
Price and Rivals
In India, the RS Q8 Performance will go up against high-performance SUVs like the Porsche Cayenne GTS and Lamborghini Urus SE. The starting price of the RS Q8 Performance is estimated to be about Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom), whilst the basic Audi Q8 is priced at Rs 1.7 crore (ex-showroom).
