BMW Motorrad India has recently announced that it will increase the prices of its super-performance and adventure motorcycles in India by up to 6% from January 1, 2026. This sudden surge in prices will apply across the brand’s entire portfolio sold in the Indian market. This move comes amid relentless pressure from the Indian rupee's depreciation against the US dollar and euro, coupled with escalating raw material and logistics costs.
All the premium GS series bikes will increase the ex-showroom prices driven by the continued pressure from foreign exchange movements and higher input costs. The hike impacts both locally assembled models like the G 310 RR and fully imported flagships such as the R 1300 GS, ensuring BMW safeguards profitability while bolstering its dealer network.
As the market is resisting the financial depreciation, the Indian rupee’s increasing depreciation against the US dollar and euro has impacted raw materials and the logistics supply chain. Speaking about the increase in prices of the bike, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, President & CEO of BMW Group India, said, “The decision has been driven to ensure the profitability and sustained value generation for BMW Motorrad India and its authorized dealer partners.
Raw material shortages and logistics disruptions compound the challenge, making "Made in India" bikes costlier due to the use of global components. BMW positions this as a protective measure, not a profit opportunity, but to sustain premium quality and dealer viability.

BMW Motorrad has a variety of models that are sold in the Indian market. Under the brand’s portfolio, the bikes include both locally and fully imported units for the Indian customers. The most prominent ‘Made in India’ models include the BMW G 310 RR and the BMW CE 02. However, talking about the premium segment models that are sold as CBU in India.
The CBU models consist of BMW adventure bikes, roadsters, and touring bikes, such as the BMW F 900 GS, F 900 GSA, BMW R 1000, BMW R 13000 GSA, BMW M1000 RR, BMW M1000R, S 1000 RR, and S 1000R. The most costly bikes that would be sold in India would be the BMW R18 Transcontinental, R2, BMW R12 nineT, and the K 1600 series.

Individuals who are interested in buying BMW bikes will be able to purchase the BMW models until December 2025. The German two-wheeler brand has also announced that the financial services will continue to support customers with easy finance, without increasing the prices. BMW India Financial Services counters with flexible EMIs, low-interest options, and balloon payments for select models. Riders passionate about German engineering must weigh current deals against impending costs.

In accordance with the increase in prices, BMW Motorrad has made it clear to the Indian customers that the brand will try to bring more CBU models into local production iteration in the upcoming years. The strategy balances global economics with rider aspirations, from track-focused M series to touring K 1600s.
As BMW Motorrad prices climb up to 6% from January 2026, savvy riders must gear up now for unbeatable deals on iconic machines. Secure your dream bike before the price hike, and keep the thrill alive without breaking the bank.
