BMW Motorrad Price Hike Up to 6% from January 2026

BMW Motorrad India has recently announced that it will increase the prices of its super-performance and adventure motorcycles in India by up to 6% from January 1, 2026. This sudden surge in prices will apply across the brand’s entire portfolio sold in the Indian market. This move comes amid relentless pressure from the Indian rupee's depreciation against the US dollar and euro, coupled with escalating raw material and logistics costs.

All the premium GS series bikes will increase the ex-showroom prices driven by the continued pressure from foreign exchange movements and higher input costs. The hike impacts both locally assembled models like the G 310 RR and fully imported flagships such as the R 1300 GS, ensuring BMW safeguards profitability while bolstering its dealer network.

Reason Behind The Price Increase

As the market is resisting the financial depreciation, the Indian rupee’s increasing depreciation against the US dollar and euro has impacted raw materials and the logistics supply chain. Speaking about the increase in prices of the bike, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, President & CEO of BMW Group India, said, “The decision has been driven to ensure the profitability and sustained value generation for BMW Motorrad India and its authorized dealer partners.

Raw material shortages and logistics disruptions compound the challenge, making "Made in India" bikes costlier due to the use of global components. BMW positions this as a protective measure, not a profit opportunity, but to sustain premium quality and dealer viability.
