The S 1000 RR M2 Edition and M 1000 RR M2 Edition were developed in partnership with BMW South Africa. These special editions aim to offer a unique visual identity for local buyers seeking exclusivity beyond the standard RR range. Both motorcycles feature a Black Storm Metallic paint scheme with distinctive red accents and bright red RR logos on the front side fairings.

BMW has focused on visual upgrades to distinguish these editions. The S 1000 RR M2 Edition includes red accents on the front fairing and passenger seat cover, a tinted windscreen, an M-embossed seat, and red-accented Design Option Wheels. The M 1000 RR M2 Edition uses the same Black Storm Metallic paint but adds red detailing on the M carbon wheel rims, fuel tank, and front fairings. The front M winglets also display the RR insignia in red.

Additional Design Details

Both special editions come equipped with Akrapovic exhaust systems as standard. The M 1000 RR M2 Edition further includes M carbon wheels, M billet parts, and M footrests. These features enhance the motorcycles' appearance while keeping the mechanical specifications unchanged from the standard models.

BMW Motorrad South Africa emphasizes that these editions are limited-run and designed for customers who want a more exclusive version of the S 1000 RR and M 1000 RR. The cosmetic changes set these motorcycles apart visually, but they retain the same performance and technical features as the regular RR models.
