- Top-spec Atto 1 offers 380km range and 40kW DC fast charging

BYD Atto 1 Features and Specifications
The BYD Atto 1 features a closed front grille, air vents, retro-style door handles, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The charging flap is positioned on the right front quarter panel. The exterior also includes a connected tail light, shark-fin antenna, and an integrated spoiler.
Inside, the Atto 1 offers a seven-inch instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless connectivity. It comes with an NFC key, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, and a six-way powered driver seat. Wireless charging is available, along with all four disc brakes and a rear-view camera supported by three radars.
The top-spec Atto 1 uses a 38.88kWh Blade LFP battery pack. It is paired with a 74bhp motor delivering 135Nm of torque. The NEDC-claimed range is up to 380km on a full charge. The car supports 40kW DC fast charging and 2.2kW V2L reverse charging.
Safety and Market Context
Safety features include ABS with EBD, traction control, six airbags, hill-start assist, and an electric tailgate. The Atto 1’s pricing and features position it as a competitor in emerging EV markets.
In India, the Atto 1 would compete with the 2026 Tata Punch EV. The Tata Punch EV is priced lower at Rs. 12.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and offers more features. It is also more powerful, with a 127.3bhp motor and 154Nm torque from a 40kWh prismatic cell LFP battery. The Tata supports 65kW DC fast charging, surpassing the Atto 1’s 40kW capability.
BYD’s Atto 1 stands out with its Blade battery technology and powered tailgate. These could be key differentiators if the model enters the Indian market. Any India-specific changes from BYD remain unconfirmed at this stage.
