Tata Punch EV

The 2026 Tata Punch EV is an updated electric micro-SUV from the previous generation model. The facelift version has been launched at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom) with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) in India. The 2026 iteration is offered in 5 different variants, such as Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered S+.

• The 2026 Tata Punch EV looks more like the newly launched ICE Tata Punch Facelift.
• While looking at the car, the front fascia gets the redesigned concealed body-colored grille section. To give the car a more premium look, the connected LED DRLs are now being integrated with a black strip.
• The headlamp and the redesigned air dam are larger, with a bolder bumper with black cladding for a muscular stance.
• The side profile retains the compact SUV silhouette with black wheel arch claddings. To give the model a more precise look, Tata.ev badges are engraved on the doors, while the door handles are mounted on the C-pillars.
• The rear includes reprofiled connected LED taillamps with a full-width light bar, spoiler, and revised bumper with a textured silver skid plate.

• Talking about its dimensions, the all-new Tata Punch EV has a ground clearance of 195 mm.
• As a compact electric SUV, the car is about 3,880 mm in length, 1,742 mm in width, and 1,622 mm in height.
• It features a wheelbase of around 2,445 mm and offers 366 litres of boot space for the Indian customers.
• Tata Punch EV facelift gets 7 color paint schemes as an option, such as: Fearless Yellow, Bengal Rogue Caramel, Empowered Oxide, Supernova Copper, Pure Grey, and Pristine White.

• While getting inside the car, the Tata Punch EV offers a new dual-tone white and grey interior theme.
• The dashboard looks similar to the ICE Tata Punch and offers a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo.
• Moreover, like the previous generation model, the 2026 Tata Punch EV gets a gloss-black finish on the centre console with touch sensitive panel for HVAC.
• It also gets a panoramic sunroof that can be operated by voice-assisted commands.

• The 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift gets a 10.25-inch Harman infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, and a 360-degree camera system.
• To give customers more comfort, the car is equipped with front ventilated and leatherette seats to stay fresh through traffic heat and long journeys.
• The car offers navigation in the cockpit, so it helps the driver to navigate for smoother and more focused driving.
• Other additional features include touch-based climate controls, a centre console with a Jewel-finish drive selector, an air purifier, a cooled glovebox, and a rear armrest.
• To make feel more premium to customers, the car offers Arcade. ev 2.0 App suite  with 60+ connected car features such as wireless charging, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and multiple voice assistant  support (Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant). 

• The major update lies under the hood. For the 2026 iteration, the Tata Punch EV is available with two battery options: a new 30 kWh battery pack and a 40 kWh battery pack.
• Both battery pack configurations are connected to a front-axle-mounted electric motor, offering three driving modes—City, Eco, and Sport.
• Replacing a 25 kWh battery setup with a 30 kWh battery pack offers 88 HP of power and 129 Nm of torque.
• Talking about its range, the car can cover a distance of about 355 km on a single charge. As for the charging, with the help of a 65 kW DC Fast Charger, the car can recharge from 0 to 80% in just 26 minutes.

Key Specifications:​

• For the higher trim level, the Tata Punch EV gets a 40 kWh battery pack, which is larger than the previous 35 kWh battery pack.
• With a bigger battery setup, the power output will be more when compared with the standard battery configuration setup.
• With a 40 kWh battery pack, the car churns out about 127 HP of power and 154 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a single-speed automatic transmission system.
• The car claimed an ARAI range of about 468 km on a single charge. Moreover, the 40 kWh battery configuration can reach the car from 0 to 100 kmph in just 9.0 seconds.
• The top speed of the car is approximately 140 kmph, and it supports a 65 kW fast charger that can charge the car from 0% to 80% in just 36 minutes.

• It comes with 6 airbags as standard, with hill hold assist and high-speed warning systems.
• Other prominent safety features include an electromagnetic stability program, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and 60+ advanced safety features.
• New Punch EV gets Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), which enhances braking stability and steering control during emergency stops.
  
• To give a more comfortable driving experience, the car is equipped with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and has a water wading capacity of about 400 mm.
