The 2026 Citroen eC3X brings a more budget-friendly electric hatchback option to India, combining practical range, modern features, and improved affordability for urban buyers.

Citroen has launched the 2026 Citroen eC3X electric hatchback in India, starting at Rs. 10.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has renamed the eC3 EV as the eC3X and introduced new features while reducing the entry price compared to the earlier model.
Key Highlights
- Citroen launches 2026 eC3X electric hatchback in India at Rs 10.25 lakh starting price
- Battery-as-a-Service scheme offers initial price of Rs 6.29 lakh with per-kilometer battery charge
- Updated eC3X features six airbags in top variant and MIDC-certified range of 325 km
Key Updates and Pricing
The Citroen eC3X is now available in three variants: Live, Live (O), and Shine. Citroen offers the eC3X under a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program. Buyers can purchase the vehicle at an initial price of Rs. 6.29 lakh, then pay a battery subscription charge of Rs. 2.26 per kilometer. This scheme aims to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible.
Externally, the eC3X features projector LED headlamps, redesigned 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and electrically adjustable and foldable outside rear-view mirrors. The overall design remains similar to the previous model, keeping the signature LED daytime running lamps, body cladding, and SUV-inspired styling elements.
Interior Features and Safety

Inside, Citroen has introduced a dual-tone blue-and-beige interior theme and upgraded the seats with leatherette upholstery. The equipment list now includes a 7-inch digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror, and a six-speaker JBL audio system. A dashcam is also available, though some features are offered as accessories.
Safety has been enhanced in the updated eC3X. The top Shine variant now comes with six airbags, while the lower variants feature four airbags. Additional features carried over from the previous model include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear parking camera, rear parking sensors, and manual air conditioning.
Performance and Range
The eC3X uses the same 29.2 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor delivering 57 HP and 143 Nm of torque. The powertrain remains unchanged, but Citroen now claims a MIDC-certified driving range of 325 km, which is 79 km higher than before. The eC3X accelerates from 0-60 km/h in 6.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 107 km/hr.
Charging the battery from 10 to 100 percent with an AC charger takes about 10.5 hours. A DC fast charger can recharge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in under one hour.
Market Position
With its revised pricing, improved features, and increased range, the updated eC3X aims to strengthen Citroen’s presence in the entry-level electric vehicle segment in India. The model competes with other electric hatchbacks in the market.
