Key Highlights

  • NCRTC opens largest fast EV charging station on Delhi-Meerut corridor
  • Facility has 10 high-voltage units with 480 kW capacity each
  • Charging up to 10 vehicles simultaneously and four-wheelers to 80 percent in 30 minutes
  • Charging services now available at eight stations along the corridor
  • Users access services and payments through the ElectreeFi mobile app

Key Features of the Charging Station

The station is equipped with 10 high-voltage charging units, each offering a capacity of 480 kW. This setup allows up to 10 vehicles to charge at the same time. The system can charge four-wheelers to about 80 percent in roughly 30 minutes. Charging points for heavy commercial EVs are also available at the facility.

Users can access the charging services through the 'ElectreeFi' mobile application. After registration, users can book charging slots, monitor the charging process in real time, and make digital payments through the app.

Expanded Charging Network on Corridor

With this addition, EV charging services are now available at eight stations along the Delhi-Meerut corridor. These stations include Sahibabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North, Meerut South, and Anand Vihar. Both fast and standard charging infrastructure are installed at these locations.

The new facility is expected to benefit not only Namo Bharat commuters but also residents in nearby areas. Private electric vehicle owners who use the stations will have improved access to charging. This development is likely to encourage more people to adopt electric vehicles in the region.

Future Expansion Plans

NCRTC has stated its intention to further expand EV charging infrastructure along the corridor. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to support clean energy and sustainable transportation in the National Capital Region.
