Hero MotoCorp Limited has launched the VIDA VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh electric scooter under its Vida brand. The new variant features a dual-battery configuration with a total capacity of 4.4 kWh. It delivers a peak power output of 6 kW and offers a certified range of 187 kilometres on a single charge. The VX2 Plus is priced at Rs 1.43 lakh ex-showroom in New Delhi.

Key Specifications and Features
The Vida VX2 Plus uses two removable 2.2 kWh lithium-ion batteries. Together, they provide a certified range of 187 km, as per the Indian Driving Cycle. The scooter comes with a 1 kW portable charger, which charges the batteries from zero to 80 percent in 3 hours and 30 minutes. For faster charging, the scooter supports DC fast charging, reaching 80 percent in 65 minutes.
The electric motor generates 6 kW of peak power and 26 Nm of torque. The VX2 Plus can reach a top speed of 90 km/h. Riders can select from three modes: Eco, Ride, and Sports. The scooter includes a 4.3-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, over-the-air updates, and turn-by-turn navigation. It also offers 27.2 litres of under-seat storage and a combined braking system for safety.
Service Network and Charging Infrastructure
Vida supports the VX2 Plus with a network of over 6,000 fast-charging stations and 700 service touchpoints across India. This infrastructure aims to address range and service concerns for electric scooter users.
Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer of Hero MotoCorp's Emerging Mobility Business Unit, stated that the company’s multi-variant approach offers flexible range options. The brand also provides alternative Battery-as-a-Service ownership plans for customers.
Achievements and Market Plans
Before its commercial launch, a pre-production VX2 Plus completed a 12,111 km cross-country journey in 52 days. This achievement earned it an entry in the Asia Book of Records for the longest electric scooter ride. Hero MotoCorp plans to begin nationwide retail deliveries of the VX2 Plus through authorised dealerships by the end of July 2026.
The company emphasises safety and regulatory compliance in its showroom campaigns. It highlights industry-standard testing and certifications for its electric vehicles. The broader service and charging network is intended to support the growing adoption of electric mobility in India.
