ADAS Collaboration for Indian Conditions
The partnership will focus on adapting collision avoidance systems for Indian road conditions. Dhoot Transmission and RideVision aim to integrate technology and develop safety solutions tailored to local mobility requirements. RideVision is known for its AI-driven collision avoidance technology for two-wheelers, using edge AI, predictive analytics, and machine learning to deliver collision alerts and detect risky riding patterns.
Naveen Kumar, CEO – India (Wiring Harness and Electronics) at Dhoot Transmission, stated that the partnership combines global ADAS expertise with a deep understanding of the Indian market. The goal is to create solutions engineered specifically for Indian roads and operating conditions.
Uri Lavi, Founder and CEO of RideVision, highlighted the significance of bringing advanced ADAS capabilities to India. He said the collaboration aims to localize cutting-edge technology and make safety solutions accessible to a wider segment of the Indian population.
Expansion and Business Developments
Dhoot Transmission's subsidiary, Dhoot Automotive Systems Private Limited, has signed a business transfer agreement with Bangalore-based Multilink. The company stated this move is intended to strengthen its electronics product capabilities.
As of December 31, 2025, Dhoot Transmission operates 22 manufacturing facilities in India and abroad. The company supplies wiring harnesses, battery packs, sensors, and controllers to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across both internal combustion engine and electric vehicle platforms.
In May, Dhoot Transmission reported a 4 percent year-on-year decline in domestic and export sales. Lower volumes in the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) bus segment offset growth in the light commercial vehicle segment. However, vehicle registration grew 79 percent year-on-year and increased 1 percent sequentially. Domestic commercial vehicle sales rose 19 percent year-on-year, driven by higher volumes in cargo, pickup, and passenger segments.
