Maruti Suzuki has officially unveiled the 2026 Brezza facelift in India today, July 24, 2026, with prices starting at an aggressive Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The refreshed compact SUV brings the brand's first six-speed manual gearbox, a new turbo-petrol engine borrowed from the Fronx, and a five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, marking the most significant update since the second-generation model debuted in 2022.

Positioned to reclaim leadership in the hyper-competitive sub-four-meter SUV segment, the Brezza facelift faces stiff rivalry from the Tata Nexon, which recently overtook it in sales. With refreshed exterior styling, a more premium cabin, and enhanced powertrain options, Maruti Suzuki aims to win back buyers seeking a blend of practicality, fuel efficiency, and modern safety technology in a trusted package.

The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift retains the familiar silhouette but introduces subtle yet meaningful design revisions. The front end features a newly sculpted grille with chrome accents, projector headlamps on higher variants, and a reworked bumper with a silver skid plate.

LED daytime running lights and fog lamps are now available on mid and top trims, while the side profile carries over with body-colored door handles, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, and new 4-spoke alloy wheel designs. At the rear, LED taillamps remain unchanged, though the updated bumper and badging signal the facelift status.

Interior Features and Technology

Inside, the Brezza facelift receives a comprehensive feature upgrade aimed at enhancing perceived quality and convenience. The cabin now boasts a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, replacing the previous 9-inch unit. Higher variants add ventilated front seats, ambient lighting strips along the doors, a powered driver's seat, and an air purifier.

Some carry-over features include the following:

  • A single-pane sunroof
  • Auto-dimming IRVM
  • Wireless charger
  • Automatic climate control
  • 360-degree camera
  • Head-up display (HUD).

The instrument cluster has been refreshed, and new seat upholstery options add a more premium touch.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

Under the hood, the Brezza facelift introduces a game-changing powertrain lineup. The headline addition is the 1.0-liter Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, sourced from the Fronx, delivering 100 HP of power and 148 Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox. This sub-1200cc engine offers a key tax advantage for the sub-four-meter SUV segment.

Continuing from the previous model, the 1.5-liter K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine remains on offer, producing 103 PS and 139 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between the newly introduced six-speed manual or the existing six-speed automatic transmission. The CNG variant, powered by the same 1.5-liter unit, delivers 88 PS and 121.5 Nm, now featuring an underbody-mounted CNG tank that frees up boot space.

Safety Suites

Safety is a major focus for the 2026 Brezza, which has earned a five-star Bharat NCAP rating. Standard safety equipment across all variants includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control, hill hold assist, rear parking sensors, and three-point seatbelts for all occupants with reminders.
