Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition launched in India at Rs 36.05 lakh

Jeep India has introduced the Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition to celebrate 85 years of the Jeep brand. Priced at Rs 36.05 lakh (ex-showroom), this special edition SUV is limited to only 85 units. Bookings are open at Jeep dealerships and on the Jeep India website.

Design Updates

The Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition features exclusive decals on the front doors and tailgate. The wheel centre caps display a unique anniversary logo. The model is available in five exterior paint options: Pearl White, Techno Metallic Green, Velvet Red, Grigio Magnesio, and Brilliant Black. The wheels receive a gloss black finish for a distinctive look.

Inside, the SUV gets a new gold accent on the dashboard and an ambient lighting package. Customers can personalise their vehicles with the 85th Anniversary AXS Packages. These packages include accessories such as carpet floor mats, anniversary decal kits, ambient lighting, and an illumination package for the panoramic sunroof.

Technology and Mechanical Details

The Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition introduces the CARA AI assistant to the model. CARA is Stellantis' voice assistant, first launched in India with the Citroen Basalt. It supports voice commands in 52 languages, including major Indian languages. CARA can assist with navigation, weather updates, calls, music, and selected vehicle functions. This feature is also now available on the regular Limited (O) trim of the Meridian, which is priced at Rs 30.45 lakh, an increase of Rs 45,000.

The 85th Anniversary Edition is based on the top Overland trim and remains mechanically unchanged. It uses a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 170 HP of power and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. An optional 4x4 system is also available. The special edition commands a premium of Rs 44,000 over the standard Overland trim.

Production and Availability

Jeep will produce only 85 units of the Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition. The limited production run and exclusive features make this model a unique offering in the segment. Interested buyers can book the vehicle through authorised dealerships or the official website.
