Gravton Motors has introduced its first electric 2-wheeler vehicle in Hyderabad at introductory pricing of Rs 99,000 (ex-showroom, Hyderabad). This price offer is limited as the company expects it to increase to around Rs 1.2 lakhs.
● The introductory pricing of the Gravton Quanta EV is for a limited period.
● Gravton Quanta comes equipped with a 3kWh battery and 3kW motor.
● Gravton Quanta EV is available in three riding modes and features smartphone connectivity.

With the petrol prices rising by the day, there is a need for a suitable alternative. However, the positive aspect is that the FAME II subsidy approval will bring the pricing back below the Rs 1.0 lakh figure. While this vehicle is available in Hyderabad initially, you can see it launching in other Indian cities very soon.
The powerful hub-driven BLDC motor claims to deliver a peak power of 3.6kW while maintaining a continuous average of around 3.0kW. Furthermore, the 3kWh removable Li-ion battery is reputed to deliver a mileage of over 100km. As for speed, the Gravton Quanta can produce speeds up to 70kmph and deliver a performance equalling that of a 100cc motorcycle.
The unique rib-cage frame of the Gravton Quanta comes with twin shock absorbers and a telescopic fork. It ensures a comfortable ride because of its 17-inch wheels. Disc brakes on both wheels ensure stable braking. The highlighting aspect is the smartphone connectivity feature.
While the battery and motor are Chinese imports, Gravton Motors takes pride in the fact that all the other components are sourced locally. At present, the production capacity is around 2000 units a month. Depending on the demand, Gravton Motors plans to sell up to 5000 units in 2021 and estimates a sale of around 18000 for the following year. This vehicle is available in three riding modes, Eco, City, and Sport.
