Harley-Davidson Nightster launch price Rs 14.99 lakhs in India; Hero starts deliveries

Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson India together in an exclusive partnership have launched the new Nightster bike in the country with prices starting at Rs 14.99 lakhs onwards. Many people updated with automotive news would be knowing that Hero MotoCorp is the exclusive partner and sole distributor of Harley Davidson motorcycles, parts and accessories in the Indian two-wheeler market.

This new Nightster Harley Davidson is being imported via CBU or the Completely Built-up Units route, and reservations for the bike have started all over the country. It will be retailed in one variant only and in three colors. The HD Nightster in Vivid Black colour theme is priced at Rs 14.99 lakhs whereas the new Harley bike in Gunship Grey colour and Redline Red shade schemes are priced at Rs 15.13 lakhs.

The latest Harley Davidson Nightster powertrain consists of an engine powered by the Harley's 975cc Revolution Max 975T liquid cooled V-twin motor, that churns out 89 BHP of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 95 Nm of maximum torque at 5,750 rpm.

The Harley-Davidson chassis uses the motor as a traction element. In terms of the hardware on the Nightster motorbike, it includes a 41mm Showa forks at the front, dual springs at the rear, and single disc brakes at both ends of the wheels.

The Harley-Davidson electronic driving aids consist of three driving modes, Anti Lock Braking System, engine braking control mechanism and a traction control function.
