Hero MotoCorp April 2025 Sales Declined by 42.76%

Hero MotoCorp sold 2,88,524 units of its two-wheelers in the domestic market, a drop of 43.79% compared to 5,13,296 units in April 2024.

India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, reported a significant decline in its April 2025 sales. It announced total sales of 3,05,406 units during the month, witnessing a 42.76% decline YoY compared to 5,33,585 units in April 2024. The MoM performance dropped by 44.43% when the brand sold 5,49,604 units.

Hero MotoCorp April 2025 Sales Report

Hero MotoCorp sold 2,88,524 units of its two-wheelers in the domestic market, a drop of 43.79% compared to 5,13,296 units in April 2024. It also reported a 43.44% MoM decline when it sold 5,10,086 units in March 2025. 

The motorcycles contributed the highest sales of 2,86,089 units, while scooters stood at 19,317 units. The overall export of Hero two-wheelers in April 2025 stood at 16,882 units, a 16.79% drop compared to last year when the brand exported 20,289 units. In March 2025, Hero MotorCorp dispatched 5,06,552 units of motorcycles and 42,963 units of scooters while exporting 39,518 units. 

Production Halt Impact on Sales

The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer stated that the scheduled production halt across multiple facilities impacted the April sales. Hero MotoCorp temporarily suspended production during its planned operational strategy between April 17 and April 19 at its Dharuhera, Gurugram, Haridwar, and Neemrana plants. This move was initiated to realign the supply chains and conduct scheduled maintenance and infrastructure upgrades. Hero aims to see normalized production and dispatch of its two-wheelers from May 2025.

Strong Demand for Hero’s VIDA EV

Hero MotoCorp registered 5.05 lakh VAHAN registrations for its ICE two-wheelers in April 2025, showcasing consistent demand in the Indian market. Its electric brand, VIDAalso continues to see increased sales figures. In April 2025, the company dispatched 7,116 VIDA V2 electric scooters, while the VAHAN registrations stood at 6,123 units.
