Hero MotoCorp upgrades its popular commuter with a new Passion Plus Disc variant, offering improved braking performance, practical features, and reliable mileage at an attractive price point.

Hero MotoCorp has launched a new front disc brake variant of its Passion+ motorcycle, priced at Rs 84,128 ex-showroom in Delhi. This new variant, called the Passion+ Disc, brings significant updates to the entry-level commuter segment.

Key Features and Upgrades

The main highlight of the Passion+ Disc is the addition of a front disc brake. This upgrade offers improved braking control and enhanced safety compared to the standard drum brake setup. The motorcycle also introduces a fully digital instrument console. This console provides real-time mileage information, low fuel alerts, service reminders, and Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS notifications.

Other notable features include an LED projector headlamp for better visibility, a side-stand engine cut-off sensor for added safety, an integrated USB charging port, and a utility storage case. These additions aim to improve the overall convenience and safety for riders.

Engine and Performance

The Passion+ Disc retains the same mechanical foundation as the standard Passion+ model. It is powered by a 100cc engine that delivers 5.9kW of power at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine works with Hero MotoCorp's i3S idle stop-start system, which helps maintain a rated fuel efficiency of 71 kmpl.

According to Ashutosh Varma, Chief Business Officer of Hero MotoCorp's India Business Unit, the introduction of the front disc brake variant aims to strengthen the Passion+ brand. The company wants to offer modern utility and safety features to meet the needs of today's consumers.

Color Options and Availability

The new Passion+ Disc variant is available in four dual-tone color options. Buyers can choose from Heavy Grey, Nexus Blue, Dark Industrial Grey, and Pearl Red. These color choices add to the visual appeal of the motorcycle and provide more options for customers.

With these updates, Hero MotoCorp continues to expand its commuter motorcycle lineup. The Passion+ Disc variant targets riders seeking enhanced safety, modern features, and reliable performance in the 100cc segment.
