Discover the Hero Xoom 160 ADV-Styled Maxi-Scooter at Bharat Mobility Expo 2024 and anticipate its potential launch by the end of 2024.

Key Highlights:
Hero MotoCorp, the renowned Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, has stirred excitement among enthusiasts showcasing the Hero Xoom 160 for the first time at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024, held in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This unveiling follows its initial introduction at the esteemed Hero World 2024 event, marking a significant milestone in the company's endeavour to redefine the maxi-scooter segment in India.
The Hero Xoom 160 showcased at the expo provides a glimpse into a near-production-ready version of the adventure-styled maxi-scooter. Drawing inspiration from its international counterparts, particularly the Honda X-ADV available in selected markets, the Xoom 160 boasts a striking design.
With features like a tall windscreen, sleek front apron, split LED headlights, and an angular rear section housing an LED taillight and a raised rear seat, the Xoom 160 exudes a robust and dynamic aura. Notably, the scooter deviates from convention with its step-through design, facilitating ease of ingress and egress for riders. Tipping the scales at 141 kilograms, it promises a balanced and agile ride.
The scooter comes equipped with LED illumination, a fully digital dashboard, single-channel ABS, keyless ignition, remote seat opening, and smart find technology, enhancing convenience and functionality. While the scooter boasts an impressive array of features, enthusiasts await confirmation regarding the inclusion of Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation capabilities.
Hero Xoom 160 is powered by a brand-new, liquid-cooled, 156cc, single-cylinder engine, delivering a formidable performance. With power figures of 14bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.7Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, the engine is complemented by Hero's innovative i3S (idle stop-start system) technology, ensuring optimal efficiency and responsiveness. Hardware components such as a telescopic fork at the front, twin shock absorbers at the rear, disc brakes, and 14-inch wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tires promise a smooth and controlled ride across diverse terrains.
While Hero MotoCorp is yet to disclose its market availability of the Xoom 160, industry experts anticipate its arrival on Indian shores later this year. Once launched, the Xoom 160 is poised to price almost Rs 1.45 lakh, and rival prominent contenders in the segment, including the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Aprilia SXR 160.
As anticipation mounts around the market launch of the Hero Xoom 160 and the Xoom 125R, Hero MotoCorp reaffirms its commitment to delivering innovative and compelling offerings, catering to the evolving needs and aspirations of Indian consumers. Enthusiasts eagerly await further updates regarding availability, pricing, and additional features, as Hero continues to spearhead advancements in the two-wheeler segment.
