After unveiling the Xoom 160 at EICMA 2023, Hero MotoCorp has officially launched its maxi-scooter at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Positioned as the flagship model in the brand’s Xoom series, the scooter comes with a price tag of ₹1.48 lakh (ex-showroom). The Xoom 160 marks Hero’s entry into the 160 cc scooter segment, broadening its portfolio beyond the 125 cc category.
In terms of design, the Xoom 160 sports a tall and sleek front apron with an ADV-inspired aesthetic. It features dual-chamber LED headlights, a windscreen for added presence, and a practical step-through design. The rear section is sharply styled, highlighted by an upswept seat and angular LED taillight. The scooter also boasts a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation for enhanced convenience.
On the mechanical front, the Xoom 160 is equipped with a telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear, ensuring a balanced ride. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both ends, offering reliable stopping power.
Powering the Xoom 160 is a 156 cc liquid-cooled engine, distinct from the one used in the Xtreme 160R 4V. It delivers a robust 14 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 13.7 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm, making it a strong competitor against rivals like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SR160.
