The Honda CB500 follows Honda’s ‘Retro Sporty’ design philosophy. It features a round LED headlamp, sculpted fuel tank, wide handlebar, and clean bodywork. These elements give the motorcycle a modern-classic roadster appearance. The CB500 will be available in three variants: Alloy, Spoke Tubeless, and Spoke Tubeless with Graphics.

Key features include Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, an analogue-digital instrument cluster, and all-LED lighting. The motorcycle also comes with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and disc brakes on both wheels, supported by dual-channel ABS. The CB500 rides on a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. Both wheels are fitted with Maxxis tyres, sized 100/90-19 at the front and 150/70-17 at the rear. The display model showcased tubeless cross-spoke wheels.

Engine and Performance Details

The Honda CB500 is powered by a 501cc, air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 27.76 HP and 43.3 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox and features an assist and slipper clutch. This clutch system helps ensure smoother downshifts and reduces rear-wheel hop during hard deceleration. Honda states the CB500 is engineered for a torque-rich riding experience, continuing the legacy of the CB series.

Manufacturing and Availability

Honda has confirmed local manufacturing of the CB500 in India. This move positions the CB500 as the most premium offering in the CB range for the Indian market. The company has not yet announced pricing or booking details. Honda is expected to share this information in the coming months.
