Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has reported substantial growth in its July 2024 sales figures, with total dispatches reaching 4,83,100 units, marking a 43% year-on-year increase. HMSI’s performance was strong in domestic and international markets, with domestic sales climbing 41% to 4,39,118 units and exports surging 60% to 43,982 units compared to July 2023. This growth comes alongside HMSI's achievement of selling five million units in Tamil Nadu since June 2001, highlighting the brand’s enduring presence in the region.

HMSI's expansion efforts in July 2024 included:
- Opening new BigWing dealerships in Hooghly (West Bengal), Ongole (Andhra Pradesh), and Burdwan (West Bengal)
- Conducting road safety awareness campaigns in 11 cities across India
- Celebrating the eighth anniversary of its Traffic Training Park in Ludhiana
- Organizing a road safety convention for school principals in Lucknow
Honda’s commitment to community welfare was evident through various initiatives:
1. The Honda India Foundation (HIF) organized a 'Health Mela' in Burera Village, Tapukara, Rajasthan, featuring:
- Women's health awareness sessions
- Health camps and basic medical screenings
- Blood donation drives
- Yoga sessions
- Road safety awareness programs for students
2. HIF partnered with the Marriott Group to launch 'Project Buniyaad', aiming to:
- Secure 100% job placement in the hospitality sector
- Target approximately 1,000 youth from northeastern states and Jammu and Kashmir
In motorsports, the IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup NSF250R category saw intense competition in Round 2, with Mohsin Paramban taking the lead, followed by Savion Sabu and A.S. James in second and third positions respectively.
HMSI's July 2024 performance demonstrates a strong recovery in the two-wheeler market, with significant growth in both domestic and export segments.
