Honda has just unveiled a new special edition of its popular Dio 125 scooter, with a nameplate Dio 125 X-Edition. The new variant focuses on style and features, giving the scooter a sportier look while retaining the same reliable engine and mechanical setup. Though the brand has not given any update about its launch, yet it is expected to hit showrooms in the coming weeks, attracting riders seeking for a stylish and practical scooter in the 125cc space.

Dio 125 X-Edition: Design Updates

The Honda Dio 125 X-Edition features a fresh dual-tone paint scheme. The body combines dark blue and silver finish, which gives it a distinctive appearance and makes the scooter stand out from the standard single-color models. The side panels feature special X-Edition graphics, while the orange-colored alloy wheels add a sporty touch. Overall, the new design gives the scooter a more aggressive and youthful appeal.
Features and Electronics

The X-Edition is based on the top-end H-Smart variant of the Dio 125, so it carries over the same modern features. The scooter gets a TFT digital instrument cluster, which shows speed, fuel level, trip meters, and more. Support Smartphone connectivity where Riders can see call and message alerts, as well as turn-by-turn navigation. A USB Type-C charging port is included for charging devices on the go. Other safety and convenience features include an Idling Stop System that automatically switches off the engine at stops, a side-stand engine cut-off, and LED lighting. The scooter continues to offer a glove box on the front apron and a double-lid external fuel filler for added practicality.
Engine and Hardware
Mechanically, the Dio 125 X-Edition remains unchanged from the standard model. It continues to carry a 123.92cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8.3PS of power and 10.5Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an automatic CVT gearbox, making it easy to ride in city traffic. Suspension and brakes remain the same, with a telescopic front fork, rear shock absorber, a front disc brake, and a rear drum brake. The scooter weighs 105kg, has a ground clearance of 171mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres, making it a practical choice for daily commuting.
Pricing and Availability

The Honda Dio 125 X-Edition is expected to cost slightly higher than the H-Smart variant, with a price range of around Rs 93,000 to Rs 93,500 (ex-showroom). Bookings are expected to open soon at authorized Honda dealerships across India, and the scooter is likely to arrive at showrooms in the coming weeks.
