Hyundai has updated the i20 N Line lineup by discontinuing select variants. The dual-clutch automatic (DCT) gearbox is now available only with the top-spec N8 variant. Prices for the sporty hatchback remain between Rs. 9.22 lakh and Rs. 11.67 lakh, ex-showroom.
Key Highlights
- Hyundai i20 N Line DCT now only available with N8 variant
- N6 DCT variant discontinued and N6 loses dual tone colour options
- Prices remain between Rs 9.22 lakh and Rs 11.67 lakh ex showroom
- i20 N Line features 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine and sportier design
- Direct rival Racer discontinued in May 2025
Variant and Gearbox Changes
The carmaker has removed the N6 DCT variant from the lineup. This change means buyers can now get the DCT gearbox only with the N8 trim. The N6 variant also loses access to dual-tone exterior colour options. However, the N8 trim continues to offer both a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DCT gearbox. Dual-tone paint schemes remain available on the N8 variant.
The i20 N Line was first launched in India in September 2021. At launch, it featured a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and was offered with both iMT and DCT gearbox options across two variants. In October 2023, Hyundai replaced the iMT gearbox with a conventional six-speed manual transmission during a facelift update. The update also brought cosmetic and feature enhancements.
Features and Market Position

The i20 N Line continues to use the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. The model stands out from the standard i20 with a sportier design and interior. Key features include a roof spoiler, red brake callipers, dual exhaust tips, an all-black cabin, and multiple ‘N Line’ badges inside and outside the car.
Prices for the i20 N Line remain unchanged, ranging from Rs. 9.22 lakh to Rs. 11.67 lakh, ex-showroom. The model competes with other turbo petrol hatchbacks in the segment. One of its direct rivals, the Racer, was discontinued in May 2025.
